My passion for exercise and fitness came to me later in life as a result of my brother, who was 10 years older than me, having his first heart attack. I joined a gym to initiate my personal fitness and never looked back. I have been teaching fitness, consulting with friends/family and teaching at the YMCA for over 23 years. Fitness is vital as we get older, and we must keep moving and strengthening our minds, bodies, and spirits. Genetics is something we cannot control, but how we take care of our bodies is within our control, and we can minimize the effects of our predisposition. To this end, I am passionate and committed to helping others learn how to prioritize living healthy lifestyles and be successful with their lifestyle goals.
Beth Hunter- Tennis & Fitness Assistant Coordinator
My name is Beth Hunter, and my husband and I have one son, Alex Hunter. I graduated from Presbyterian College with a BS in Psychology and worked for a non profit organization to treat and prevent child abuse. I was blessed to be a stay at home mom during the pandemic but now am excited to get back into working for something I am passionate about. I’m from Marietta, GA where I played middle school and high school soccer. My favorite thing to do besides read books and play tennis is to listen to my son sing and watch him create amazing art pieces.
